Senior Architect

Beth is an Architect who qualified after joining Caroe Architecture in 2016, following completion of her Master of Philosophy in Architecture and Urban Design at Cambridge University. In 2019 Beth was awarded the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) Lethaby Scholarship which gave her the opportunity to learn from practitioners at the forefront of conservation across the UK.

She has amassed good experience in the care and conversion of historic buildings by working on significant buildings in the UK and abroad, including building conservation programmes in New Zealand and in Italy. These projects have included New College Oxford, The Geffrye Museum, St Marylebone Parish Church, and St Paul’s Cathedral, London.

Beth plays a vital role in project teams both as project architect and to support others in the preparation of information at all work-stages.

The 2016 Philip Webb Award from the SPAB was jointly awarded to Beth for Citta della Memoria: a scheme for the earthquake-damaged Italian town of L’Aquila. Beth was also joint winner of the RIBAJ SterlingOSB Zero competition in 2020, for a scheme to repurpose and reinvigorate a declining heritage building.
